BMW has reaffirmed its commitment to tennis by extending its long-term partnership with Spanish superstar Carlos Alcaraz, the world’s No. 1 player. The collaboration underscores BMW’s nearly four decades of support for tennis, with Alcaraz embodying the brand’s values of passion, innovation, and excellence.
“Tennis plays a fundamental role in our sponsorship portfolio,” said Uwe Dreher, Vice President Marketing BMW Europe. “We are delighted to continue our journey with Carlos Alcaraz. His pursuit of excellence aligns seamlessly with our brand, and together we look forward to creating unforgettable moments that inspire fans and customers alike.”
Alcaraz, who recently reclaimed the world No. 1 ranking with his US Open triumph, expressed his excitement about continuing the partnership. “I am delighted to remain part of the BMW family. Their values – honesty, excellence, innovation, and joy – have always resonated with me. BMW supported me even before my first Grand Slam win, and I look forward to sharing many more successes together,” said the six-time Grand Slam champion.
BMW’s involvement in tennis began in 1987 with the BMW Open in Munich, which celebrated its 38th edition this year as an ATP 500 event. Beyond Munich, BMW continues to support the sport globally, partnering with major tournaments in Indian Wells, Rome, and Vienna, strengthening its presence as a driving force in international tennis.
