BMW Motorrad Pinetown at the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride

On Sunday, 19 May 2025, BMW Motorrad Pinetown proudly joined thousands of classic and vintage-styled motorcycle enthusiasts around the globe in the annual Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride, a powerful initiative uniting riders in support of prostate cancer research and men’s mental health.

This year’s Durban route saw well-dressed riders kick off from Springfield, cruising along scenic coastal stretches and concluding at the lively Ballito Farmers Market. Among the dapper crowd was one of our own, a dedicated member of the BMW Motorrad Pinetown sales team, representing not just style and motorcycling heritage but also the spirit of purpose that drives this global movement.

As always, The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride wasn’t just about polished chrome and tailored tweed. It’s about impact. Partnering with Movember since 2016, the DGR continues to fuel critical work in men’s health, tackling two of the most pressing issues facing men today: prostate cancer and mental health support. Every ride, every rand, every shared story brings us closer to changing the face of men’s health.

We’re also incredibly proud to shout out the Top Riders Durban who led the fundraising leaderboard:

  • 1st: Kemmy Chellan – $1,804 USD
  • 2nd: Paul Lishman – $1,446 USD
  • 3rd: Nash Pillay – $1,284 USD

These riders didn’t just show up, they showed up for a reason. Their dedication is a reminder of what makes this ride more than just a ride.

To all who suited up, revved up and rallied behind this noble cause, especially those who joined us from Supertech Motorrad and the broader community, thank you. Let’s keep building awareness, conversation, and camaraderie, one kilometre at a time.

Until next year, ride safe and ride with purpose.
