DAY 1 – INTO THE MOUNTAINS

DAY 2 – PEAK EXPERIENCE

Pinetown → Clarens → AfriSki

Departure from BMW Pinetown as the convoy heads inland, leaving the coastline behind and moving toward the mountains.

A relaxed first leg to The Windmill Ultra Stop sets the tone, followed by a scenic drive toward Golden Gate Highlands National Park, where the landscape begins to shift dramatically.

From there, the route flows into the charm of Clarens, before crossing into Lesotho and climbing toward AfriSki Mountain Resort.

Distance: ±500 km Drive Time: ±7 hours

Arrival at AfriSki for an evening at altitude.

AfriSki → Sani Pass → Drakensberg

The day begins deep in the mountains, with a high-altitude drive through Lesotho’s dramatic terrain, reaching some of the highest accessible points on the route.

From there, the convoy descends toward the iconic Sani Pass – a true test of control, precision, and capability.

The journey continues into the Drakensberg, where the pace slows and the setting shifts to a more relaxed, scenic environment.

Evening at Gooderson Drakensberg Resort.

Drakensberg → Durban

A final morning in the mountains before beginning the return journey.

The convoy makes its way back through KwaZulu-Natal, with a relaxed coffee or lunch stop along the route before heading home.

Distance: ±250 km Drive Time: ±4 hours

Arrival back in Durban.
